Real Property Persons of the Year Award

33rd Annual Real Property Law Section Retreat
The Tenaya Lodge, Yosemite

YosemiteFor the first time, the Real Property Law Section will hold its annual Real Property Retreat at beautiful Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite, May 1 to May 4, 2014.  In addition, the Second Annual RPLS Real Property Persons of the Year Award (“RPOY”) will be announced at the Retreat.

This year’s RPOY will recognize a “Great Collaboration” between two individuals who through their teamwork have accomplished a noteworthy real property transaction, project, decision, or other achievement.  Real Property Law attorneys and their clients, in-house attorneys and their internal clients, or attorneys and public agencies, members of the public, public officials, or other attorneys or principals are eligible.

Please help us nominate potential Award winners. The winners will be announced at the Retreat during the General Assembly lunch session on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Winners will briefly address the challenges and rewards of their work together, and its impact on the world of real property. Typically 250 to 300 attendees will attend.

In addition, in partnership with California Young Lawyers Association, the Real Property Law Section will again honor five "Morning Stars," California young lawyers who have demonstrated early promise in real property practice, and dedication of service to the State Bar.

For 32 years, the Real Property Retreat has staged elite and generalist continuing education to California lawyers, as well as chances to meet and mingle with business and real estate industry leaders and other practitioners, all in exquisite resort settings.  The leading educational conference for California real estate lawyers, the Real Property Retreat offers approximately 20 legal education seminars and several social networking functions each spring, with programming attracting both experienced real estate practitioners and generalists.
